Polish-born soprano Rosa Raisa was a celebrated Maliella in the 1920's, performing in The Jewels of the Madonna for Chicago Opera, which toured North and South America. Her husband, Giacomo Rimini often played the role of Rafaele. These historic photos are from the collection of Charles Mintzer, whose book on Raisa is a classic of its kind.
